Harikumar K. D wasn’t always behind the camera. In fact, he began his journey as a sailor, navigating oceans and working toward a higher maritime position. But life had other plans.

During a break back home to prepare for exams, the world was hit by COVID-19. Everything paused. With ships docked and plans on hold, he found himself stuck indoors — restless, bored, and searching for meaning. That’s when he picked up a camera, started vlogging on YouTube, and slowly fell in love with the technical magic of photography and videography.

What started as a creative escape quickly became a calling. Day by day, he dove deeper into the art — learning, shooting, editing, and discovering a passion he never knew existed. The sailor turned into a storyteller.

As his skills grew, so did his confidence. He stepped into the world of fashion photography, refined his style, and realized it was time to build something that reflected his unique perspective. That dream became Meraki Weddings — a brand born out of passion, honesty, and artistic vision.

Two years later, with respect earned and stories captured, the journey evolved. Today, that vision continues under a new name: Heydot Weddings — a place where real memories are preserved with heart, not staged or altered.
